A Peek at Petals

A few weeks ago I was at the Como Park Conservatory. That place has very cool tropical flowers and leaves bigger than my body. It's insane. I took some shots. Hopefully they make you feel like Winter isn't just around the corner.

The grounds around the conservatory are nice, too.

This wasn't taken there but I love daisies, so I threw it in here.

Gallery Opening

Tim moved Gallery Forty-Two to downtown Sturgeon Bay and had an opening called "What's with the faces." It was a great show. Check out the art here. The very talented Jana Nyberg sang jazz, accompanied by Jake Nyberg and Lee Tomboulian. It was an explosion of creativity (and artichoke dip) in there.

This wasn't a Tim piece, but I saw something nice in the simplicity of this water fountain (bubbler, if you wish). Might be my favorite shot of the night.

Autumn Happens

I feel like we got cheated out of fall this year--but this is what I caught.

This isn't very Fall-ish, but I liked the lights in the tree anyway.

Max & Cole

Last Sunday I got to go to the park and take photos of Max and Cole. They were troopers and played around in the wet leaves on a grey day.

I love how he was spinning here.

Fall of Seasons Past.

Fall is my favorite season. Hands down. Unfortunately, this fall has been essentially non-existent. This weekend I'm heading over to Door County, where I saw awesome colors last year around this time. Fingers crossed that I come back with more shots like this.

She's Sporty

So, I'm helping shoot stuff for a new online magazine that will launch soon. It's giving me the chance to shoot a lot of random things, like this task: Capture women & sports. I think these heels could do some major damage out there on the field...

Jana Jazz

Jana's voice rocks. See for yourself, here. Her band isn't too shabby, either. Adam and Evan took on plenty of improv solos throughout the night and killed them all. All I can say is: go see "Jana Jazz" if you get the chance.
